Besides turahi other words employed to mean various kinds of straight trumpets are tutari and bhongal in Marathi , tuttoori in Kannada , kahal in Oriya , karna and its variants in many districts of the Gangetic valley and nearby areas , bhenr of the Oraons , the bhenr of Uttar Pradesh and so on . सीधी तुरही की विभिन्न किस्मों के नाम तुरही के अतिरिक्त मराठी में तुतरी और भोंगल , कन्नड़ में तुतरी , उड़िया में कहल , गंगा की घाटी तथा निकटवर्ती क्षेत्र के अनेक जिलों में करण , औरांव की भेंर और उत्तरप्रदेश की भेंर आदि हैं .
