After this Amitabh played the role of a desperate lover in the movie Parwana (1971) where along with him actors like Navin Nischal, Yogitabaali and Om Prakash acted in the movie and casting him in nagative role was rare thing to see within his acting carrier. इसके बाद अमिताभ ने (१९७१) में बनी परवाना में एक मायूस प्रेमी की भूमिका निभाई जिसमें इसके साथी कलाकारों में नवीन निश्चल योगिता बाली और ओम प्रकाश थे और इन्हें खलनायक के रूप में फिल्माना अपने आप में बहुत कम देखने को मिलने जैसी भूमिका थी।
