Six parliamentary candidates filed official complaints against a range of officials and demanded that the elections be annulled and redone, reports the newspaper El-Badil in its Jan. 10 edition. One of the candidates, a Wafd Party candidate named Ibrahim Kamel, explained how he acquired government documents indicating that fewer than 40 million Egyptians were eligible to vote, while the current elections included 52 million voters, implying 12 million fraudulent ballots. This increase was achieved, he said, by taking the names and identification numbers of legitimate voters and duplicating them between 2 and 32 times in other electoral precincts. Mamdouh Hamza, head of the Egyptian National Council , an NGO, confirmed this tampering to El-Badil , dubbing it “the biggest crime of fraud in Egyptian history.” He demanded that the Lower House elections be redone from scratch. 10 जनवरी के अपने अंक में El-Badil ने रिपोर्ट प्रकाशित की है कि छह संसदीय प्रत्याशियों ने अनेक अधिकारियों के विरुद्ध शिकायतें कीं और माँग भी की कि चुनावों को रद्द कर उन्हें फिर से सम्पादित कराया जाये । वफ्द दल के प्रत्याशी इब्राहिम कामिल ने बताया कि उन्हें सरकारी दस्तावेज मिला जिससे यह पता चलता है कि मिस्र में 4 करोड से भी कम मतदाता मतदान के योग्य है जबकि हाल के निर्वाचन में 5.2 करोड मतदाताओं ने भाग लिया इसमें अंतर्निहित है कि 1.2 करोड मतपत्र फर्जी थे। उनके अनुसार इस बढत को प्राप्त करने के लिये सही मतदाताओं के नाम और और मतदाता संख्या लेकर उन्हें अन्य निर्वाचन स्थानों पर 2 से 32 बार तक मिलाकर फर्जीवाडा किया गया।

Spokeswoman Kristie Clemens explained that her agency had information on how events such as the one in Toronto “may be used by terrorist organizations to promote terrorist activities, which includes traveling and fund raising.” Ms. Clemens later added that the CBP has “credible, ongoing information that these types of conferences have been used and are being used by terrorist organizations to not only transport fraudulent documents but to mask travel by terrorists.” Terrorists imagine, she pointed out, that if they travel in a large group, “we're going to be less restrictive and try to expedite the processing.” इस एजेन्सी की प्रवक्ता क्रिस्टीन क्लीमेन्स ने स्पष्ट किया कि उनकी एजेन्सी ने सूचित कर दिया था कि टोरन्टो जैसे सम्मेलनों का उपयोग आतंकवादी संगठन आतंकवादी गतिविधियों को चलाने और विशेषकर यात्रा तथा चंदा वसूली के लिए करते हैं . सुश्री क्लामेन ने यह भी जोड़ा कि उनके पास इस बात की ठोस जानकारी है कि इस प्रकार के सम्मेलनों का उपयोग न केवल फर्जी दस्तावेजों के परिवहन के लिए होता है वरन् आतंकवादियों की यात्रा के लिए भी होता है . उनके अनुसार आतंकवादियों की कल्पना है कि यदि वे समूहों में यात्रा करेंगे तो हमारी सख्ती ढीली पड़ जायेगी और हमारा ध्यान प्रक्रिया को शीघ्र समाप्त करने पर अधिक होगा. उनके स्पष्टीकरण से संकेत मिलता है कि क्यों सीमी सुरक्षा एजेन्सी ने टोरन्टो सम्मेलन से वापस लौट रहे 40 अमेरिकी नागरिकों को रोक लिया था .

Mr. Maawad was then indicted for wire fraud and fraudulent use of a Social Security number. लोगों ने सोचा होगा कि मेमफिसटेन में रहने वाला मिस्र का 29 वर्षीय गैर-कानूनी अप्रवासी महमूद मावाद कुछ दबकर रहेगा और स्वयं को मुसीबत से अलग रखेगा लेकिन उसने जान बूझकर इसके विपरीत किया . उसने सामाजिक सुरक्षा का फर्जी नंबर लेकर मेमफीस के विश्वविद्यालय के बिजनेस स्कूल में नामांकन कराया , घरेलू सामानों की व्यवस्था की और बैंक में खाता भी खोला . उसने पुस्तकें बेंची और 2005 के आरंभ में एक नाबालिग को अल्कोहल बेचने के आरोप में गिरफ्तार हुआ इसके बाद 2005 के मध्य में उसने Sporty's pilotshop से हवाईजहाज से जुड़े 3300 यू एस डॉलर के सामान खरीदने का ऑर्डर किया . इन सामानों में पायलट का यूनीफार्म , फ्लाईट गेयर बैग , रेडियो संप्रेषण हैंडबूक तथा हाउ एन एयरलाईन कैप्टन शुड लुक एंड ऐक्ट शीर्षक की डीवीडी शामिल है . इन सबसे उपर उसने इन सामानों की मांग क्षमता से अधिक खर्च किए गए क्रेडिट कार्ड के जरिए की . Sporty's pilotshop ने इसकी जानकारी एफ.बी.आई को दी और संघीय एजेन्टों ने सितंबर में मावाद के घर की तलाशी ली..वहां उन्होंने उड़ान से संबंधित सॉफ्टवेयर और मेम्फीस हवाई अड्डे की विस्तृत जानकारी बरामद की .इसके बाद मावाद को धोखे से सामाजिक सुरक्षा नंबर प्रयोग करने के आरोप में तथा क्रेडिट कार्ड में धोखाधड़ी के मामले में आरोपी बनाया गया . यह तो पूरी तरह स्थापित तथ्य है कि मावाद के मस्तिष्क में आतंकवाद की योज़ना थी .उसके कार्य उसे पूरी तरह से मेरे नवनिर्मित बेवकूफ आतंकवादी क्लब का सदस्य बनाते हैं. उसके साथ कई अन्य सदस्य भी इसमें शामिल हैं .
