Even though the weight of the agro-based industries went down from 44 per cent in the index number with 1960 as base to about 34 per cent in the new index number , they still continued to be an important segment and their growth rate had a significant effect on the overall growth rate of the industrial sector . यद्यपि कृषि आधारित उद्योगों का भारिक महत्व सन् 1960 ई . के सूचकांक में , 44 प्रतिशत से घटकर नये सूचकांक में , 44 प्रतिशत से घटकर नये सूचकांक में लगभग 34 प्रतिशत रह गयी है , इसे अभी भी एक महत्वपूर्ण भाग माना जाता है तथा औद्योगिक क्षेत्र की पूरी विकास दर में इनकी विकास दर का अत्यधिक प्रभाव है .

Other industrial groups under capital goods industries like prime movers , boilers and steam-generating plants , machinery components and accessories had impressive rates of growth , though all of them , like industrial machinery , occupied relatively insignificant weightage in the industrial structure . पूंजीगत माल उद्योगों जैसे प्राइम मूवर्स , बायलरों तथा भाप-उत्पादक संयंत्रों , मशीनरी संघटकों , एवं सहायक यंत्रों के अन्तर्गत अन्य औद्योगिक समूहों का विकास अच्छी प्रभावशाली दरों से हुआ , यद्यपि उनमें सभी का औद्योगिक मशीनरी की भांति , औद्योगिक संरचना में सापेक्षतया भारिक महत्व सामान्य ही था .
