For the purpose of exercising its authority in deciding appeals , the Tribunal can seek the assistance of the officers of the Customs and Central Excise Department , the Income-Tax Department , the Enforcement Directorate appointed under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act 1973 , as well as the Police Department . अपीलों का निर्णय करने में अपने प्राधिकार का प्रयोग करने के लिए अधिकरण सीमा शुल्क तथा केंद्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क़् विभाग , आयकर विभाग , विदेशी मुद्रा विनियमन अधिनियम , 1973 के अधीन नियुक़्त प्रवर्तन निदेशालय तथा पुलिस विभाग की सहायता मांग सकता है .

Offences under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act , the Income-Tax Act , the Customs Act , the Central Excise & Salt Act , the Food Adulteration Act , the Police Act , the Companies Act , etc . , are also tried by Criminal Courts under the procedure provided by the Criminal Procedure Code . विदेशी मुद्रा विनियमन अधिनियम , आयकर अधिनियम , सीमा शुल्क अधिनियम , केंद्रीय उत्पाद शुल्क तथा नमक अधिनियम , खाद्य अपमिश्रण अधिनियम , पुलिस अधिनियम , कंपनी अधिनियम आदि के अधीन किए गए अपराधों का विचारण भी दंड प्रक्रिया संहिता में दी गई प्रक्रिया के अनुसार दांडिक न्यायालयों द्वारा किया जाता है .

Apart from Civil and Criminal litigation , there are a large number of statutory Tribunals , such as Income-Tax , Sales-Tax and Customs , Monopolies Restrictive Practices Commission , Family Courts , etc . where there are no court fees but the litigants have to pay the fees of Advocates and expenses which too are very substantial . सिविल और दांडिक मामलों के अलावा , आयकर , बिक्रीकर और सीमा शुल्क , एकाधिकार तथा अवरोधक व्यवहार आयोग , परिवार न्यायालय आदि बहुत से सांविधिक अधिकरण हैं जिनमें कोई न्यायालय फीस नहीं लगती किंतु उनमें भी वादियों को अधिवक़्ताओं की फीस और अन्य खर्चे देने पड़ते हैं जो काफी ज़्यादा होते हैं .
