After that The Bhagirathi and the Alaknanda meets at Devprayag which is located at a height of 1500 feet and from here the merged water-flow flows forward with the name of Ganga. इसके बाद भागीरथी व अलकनन्दा १५०० फीट पर स्थित देव प्रयाग में संगम करती हैं यहाँ से यह सम्मिलित जल-धारा गंगा नदी के नाम से आगे प्रवाहित होती है।
