Things started to get interesting on Aug. 4, when Rick Richman of the New York Sun noted that “The White House acknowledges on its own website that Jerusalem is in Israel-as does the State Department and the CIA on theirs,” undermining the government's case. Richman pointed to three mentions of “Jerusalem, Israel” in captions to pictures on the White House website in connection with a trip by Joe Biden in March 2010: “Vice President Joe Biden laughs with Israeli President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem, Israel”; “Vice President Joe Biden meets with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem, Israel”; and “Vice President Joe Biden has breakfast with Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair . . . in Jerusalem, Israel.” Richman deemed this wording to be potentially “pivotal evidence” against the government's case. One of the pictures on the White House website that mentions “Jerusalem, Israel.” घटनायें तब अधिक रोचक होने लगीं जब 4 अगस्त को न्यूयार्क सन के रिक रिचमैन ने पाया , “ व्हाइट हाउस ने अपनी वेबसाइट पर यह स्वीकार किया है कि जेरूसलम इजरायल में है और इसी प्रकार गृह विभाग और सीआईए ने भी ऐसा ही माना है” ये दोनों अपनी ही सरकार के विपरीत ऐसा मान रहे हैं। रिचमैन ने जोय बिडेन की मार्च 2010 की यात्रा के सम्बंध में इस बात का उल्लेख किया है कि व्हाइट हाउस ने इस यात्रा को लेकर तीन बार “ जेरूसलम , इजरायल” का उल्लेख किया है। “ उपराष्ट्रपति जोय बिडेन इजरायल के राष्ट्रपति शिमोन पेरेस के साथ जेरूसलम , इजरायल में हास्य करते हुए”, “ उपराष्ट्रपति जोय बिडेन इजरायल के प्रधानमंत्री बेंजामिन नेतन्याहू से जेरूसलम, इजरायल में मिलते हुए”, “ उपराष्ट्रपति जोय बिडेन ब्रिटेन के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री टोनी ब्लेयर के साथ जेरूसलम, इजरायल में जलपान करते हुए” । रिचमैन ने इन शब्दों को सरकार के विरुद्ध साक्ष्य की एक धुरी की संज्ञा दी है।
