The melted ice from Nand Devi, Kamat Mountain and Trishul Mountain comes in to this glacier. इस हिमनद में नंदा देवी कामत पर्वत एवं त्रिशूल पर्वत का हिम पिघल कर आता है।

On the way to the Ganges source there is a view of 3600 Mtr. high Gomukh glacier of Chirbasa village. गौमुख के रास्ते में ३६०० मी. ऊँचे चिरबासा ग्राम से विशाल गोमुख हिमनद के दर्शन होते हैं।
