The work-boot crowd, dressed in the brightly colored jackets and T-shirts celebrating tracks around the world, wandered through the guts of the operation and chose their souvenirs : An entire shelf of heavy-duty muffler clamps; a table of generators; a knee-high pile of red, blue and green oil-stained air hoses; two racks of once-white racing uniforms.
