Other plants Simmons suggests gardeners avoid, as they may eventually become problems here, include kiwi vine, rugosa rose, Japanese and common hedge privet, Japanese hops, creeping buttercup, chervil ( Anthriscus sylvestris ), Lysimachia nummularia, silver lace vine, sycamore maple, tree of heaven, wild thyme, white mulberry and Western catalpa trees, and Myosotis scorpioides.
