This volume of one hundred poems appropriately entitled “ Offering ” was dedicated by the author to his venerable eighty-three year old fatherin grateful acknowledgement of his debt to him , for the spiritual and moral wealth enshrined in its pages was in a sense the Maharshi 's gift to him . सौ कविताओं का यह संग्रह , जिसका शीर्षक ? नैवेद्य ? सर्वथा उपयुक्त है- कवि द्वारा अपने तिरासी वर्षीय श्रद्धेय पिता को उनके ऋण के प्रति कृतज्ञता जताते हुए समर्पित किया गया था क्योंकि जो भी आध्यात्मिक और नैतिक संपदा इसके पृष्ठों में सुरक्षित थी- वह प्रकारांतर से महर्षि द्वारा कवि को प्रदत्त उपहार स्वरूप ही थी .

' नाडुकल ' ह्यमेनहीर अथवा महापाषाणहृ सऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-तंभो की पूजा प्रचलित थी , उनको ताडऋई तथा पशुओं की बलि से प्रसनऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-न किया जाता था , दीपदान होता था और ढेर क ढेर उबले हुए चावल ह्यपेरमचोरू अथवा पवाडीहृ उनको नैवेद्य के रूप में अर्पित किए जाते थे .
