The "'golden-crowned sifaka "'or "'Tattersall's sifaka "'( " Propithecus tattersalli " ) is a medium-sized lemur characterized by mostly white fur, prominent furry ears, and a golden-orange vertical clinger and leaper, and its diet includes mostly seeds and leaves.

Bark has never been reported as an important food item in lemur diets, but at least four species eat it : the aye-aye, the red-tailed sportive lemur ( " Lepilemur ruficaudatus " ), the common brown lemur ( " Eulemur fulvus " ), and Verreaux's sifaka ( " Propithecus verreauxi " ).

With the publication of the 2006 2008, four species were removed from the list because of increased conservation efforts : the black lion tamarin ( " Leontopithecus chrysopygus " ), golden lion tamarin ( " Leontopithecus rosalia " ), mountain gorilla ( " Gorilla beringei beringei " ), and Perrier's sifaka ( " Propithecus perrieri " ).
