Agreements were reached with the three foreign oil companies , viz . the Standard Vacuum , the Anglo-Saxon and the Burmah Oil , and the Caltex -LRB- India -RRB- , for the construction of three refineries , taking India 's refining capacity to 4.3 million tons . इसके लिए तीन विदेशी तेल कंपनियों , तथा स्टैंडर्ड वैक़्यूम , एंग़्लो सेक़्सन और बर्मा आयल , तथा काल्टैक़्स ( इंडिया ) के साथ तेल शोधन कारखानों के निर्माण के लिए अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर हो गये थे जिससे भारत की तेल शोधन क्षमता 43 लाख टन तक हो गयी थी .
