Kautilya 's rules of legal procedure deal not only with the examination of the plaintiff and the defendant and witnesses , but also with such technical matters as framing the plaint , allowing adjournments to the plaintiff and the defendant for stating their cases , disqualifications for entering into legal transactions and the grounds for judgement of the parties to ' the suit . कौटिल्य के विधि प्रक्रिया संबंधी नियमों में न केवल वादी , प्रतिवादी और साक्षियों की परीक्षा का उल्लेख है अपितु ऐसे तकनीकी विषयों की भी चर्चा है जैसे कि वादपत्र की रचना , वादी तथा प्रतिवादी को अपने अपने पक्ष कथन के लिए सुनवाई का स्थगन , विधिक संव्यवहारों के लिए अनर्हताएं और वाद के निर्णय के आधार .

Article 353 read with article 365 provides that once Emergency is proclaimed , the executive power of the Union extends to giving of directions to any State in regard to the exercise of the executive powers of the State and failure to comply with the directions would constitute enough justification for imposition of President 's rule under article 356 . अनुच्छेद 365 के साथ पठित अनुच्छेद 353 का उपबंध है कि एक बार जब आपात की उदघोषणा कर दी जाती है तो संघ की कार्यपालिर्काशि> का विस्तार राज्य की कार्यपालिर्काशि>यों के प्रयोग के संबंध में किसी राज्य को निदेश दिए जाने पर हो जाता है और निदेशों का पालन करने में असफलता को अनुच्छेद 356 के अधीन राष्ट्रपति का शासन लागू किए जाने के लिए पर्याप्त औचित्य माना जाएगा .
