Another research team, headed by Dr . Stephen S . Wachtel of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, reported earlier this year in the journal Human Genetics that it had identified a sex reversal factor in roughly the same region of the X chromosome where DSS is housed, although that group did not pin down its molecular address nearly as finely as did the Camerino group.
