Peters dwells on the fascistic and violent aspects of some groups and expects an anti-Muslim backlash to take ominous forms. He even sketches a scenario in which “U.S. Navy ships are at anchor and U.S. Marines have gone ashore at Brest, Bremerhaven or Bari to guarantee the safe evacuation of Europe's Muslims.” वैसे तो ये छोटे मुद्दे हैं परन्तु अनेक देशों में आप्रवास विरोधी राजनीतिक दलों का उदय हो रहा है जो न केवल सीमाओं पर प्रभावी नियन्त्रण चाहते हैं वरन् अवैध आप्रवासियों को निकालने की माँग भी कर रहे हैं। हमारी आँखों के नीचे ही समस्त यूरोप में एक स्वदेशी आन्दोलन चल रहा है जिसे हम नजरअन्दाज कर रहे हैं। अभी तक रिकार्ड भले ही छोटा रहा हो परन्तु इसमें काफी सम्भावनायें छिपी हुई हैं।

American author Ralph Peters sketches a scenario in which “U.S. Navy ships are at anchor and U.S. Marines have gone ashore at Brest, Bremerhaven or Bari to guarantee the safe evacuation of Europe's Muslims.” Peters concludes that because of European's “ineradicable viciousness,” its Muslims “are living on borrowed time” As Europeans have “perfected genocide and ethnic cleansing,” Muslims, he predicts, “will be lucky just to be deported,” rather than killed. The means to take these steps exist; what prevents them from taking shape is the left being in a state of “high dudgeon” and the right not even daring to propose such measures. “The result is a paralysis that the terrorists probably did not hope for in their most optimistic projections, an arbitrary and gratuitous failure of will.” हेल्प्रिन उन कदमों को रेखांकित करते हैं जो गंभीरतापूर्वक युद्ध लड़ने की स्थिति में घर में और बाहर उठाए जाने की आवश्यकता है . घर में जो कदम उठाए जाने चाहिए उसमें 30 हजार सशक्त बॉर्डर पेट्रोल द्वारा सीमा को सुरक्षित करना , आतंकवाद के समर्थन का तनिक भी रिकार्ड रखने वाले विदेशी व्यक्ति को देश से बाहर भेजना शामिल है . आतंकवाद के साथ संबंध के संदेह वाले अमेरिकी नागरिकों का निकटतम सर्वेक्षण कराना तथा जैविक और रासायनिक युद्ध के एजेंटों के विरुद्ध मैनहैटन जैसा प्रोजेक्ट आरंभ कराना .ऐसे कदम उठाए जाने की स्थितियां अस्तित्व में हैं लेकिन ऐसे कदम नहीं उठाए जाते क्योंकि दक्षिणपंथी ऐसे कदम उठाने की सलाह नहीं देते और वामपंथियों का आवेश भी इसमें आड़े आता है . इसके परिणाम स्वरुप ऐसा अपाहिजपन उभरता है जिसकी कल्पना तो स्वयं आतंकवादी भी अत्यंत आशावादी स्थितियों में भी नहीं करते होंगे.
