Basically, I was a rather active ( registered ) contributor to Wikipedia about five years ago, but left because of harassment and dealing with editors who already back then seemed to have staked out a claim on certain topic areas, and new contributions were criticized, debated endlessly, or viewed with suspicion.

I'd love to get accurate articles about him, and about the Young Lords, and I'm sure that if he wanted to he could be very helpful, but he seems mainly focused on using Wikipedia to stake out a claim to his own vast importance .-Talk 19 : 48, 17 November 2006 ( UTC)

Trophy houses are a dime a dozen these days . Practically anyone who was in on the ground floor at Cisco Systems or staked out a claim to a few dozen McDonald's franchises when Howard Johnson's still ruled the road can afford a faux-Palladio chateau in Holmby Hills or a rustic, 16, 000-square-foot log cabin in Jackson Hole.
