In 1935, Imperial Airways announced the placement of an order for 28 flying boats of an as-of-yet undesigned type, weighing 18 tonnes each; the order was reportedly hailed as being " one of the world's boldest experiments in aviation ", while sceptics referred to the decision less favourably as being a'gamble '.

The " Principles " was followed in 1790 by his first essay in the field of Christian apologetics, " Horae Paulinae, or the Truth of the Scripture History of St Paul " which compared the Paul's Epistles with the Acts of the Apostles, making use of " undesigned coincidences " to argue that these documents mutually supported each other's authenticity.

Kanzaki fires his anagama kiln for 10 days; his pots are placed into the kiln unglazed and come out with a natural ceramic glaze from the flying ashes .
