The tunnel boring machine was dismantled and trucked west to SoDo, where it was reassembled the following month and launched again in July, Obayashi finished its excavation of the station site, including the main and emergency shafts, ventilation tubes and passenger crossover tunnels, in late June; construction of the station shafts progressed slowly, digging up to at a time, before the final concrete wall and waterproof lining were installed.
