There are eight classes of them , who freely intermarry with eash other , except the fuller , shoemaker , and weaver , for no others would condescend to have anything to do with them . उनकी भी आठ श्रेणियां हैं और उनमें धोबी , चमार और जुलाहों को छोड़कर जिनके साथ कोई भी किसी प्रकार का नाता नहीं रखना चाहता आपस मं शादी-ब्याह भी खूब होते हैं .

It is said that the plight of the Indian handloom weaver , after a century and more of British rule , was no better than that of his British counterpart around A.D . 1800 . कहा जाता है कि भारतीय हथकरघा बुनकरों की स्थिति , एक शताब्दी के बाद या यूं कहें कि ब्रिटिश राज़्य के बाद , 1800 ईस्वी के ब्रिटिश बुनकरों की स्थिति से कुछ बेहतर नहीं है .

In their competition to attract weavers the Bengal mills offered wages which could not be afforded by other weaving industries , which , as a result , were forced out of Bengal . बुनकरों को अपनी और आकर्षित करने की होड़ में बंगाल मिलों ने इतनी मजदूरी देनी शुरू की जो दूसरे बुनाई उद्योगों के लिए देना असंभव था और परिणामस्वरूप इन उद्योगों को बंगाल से बाहर जाना पडा .

When in the court -LRB- in case No . 1 of 1922 -RRB- , Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi , aged 53 , caste : Hindu Banya , occuption : farmer and weaver , having residence at Ashram Sabarmati and Shankerlal Ghelabhai Banker ; aged 32 , caste : Hindu Banya , occupation : landed proprietor , having residence at Chowpaly , Bombay were brought for trial under Section 124-A l.P.C . at 11 a.m . , evidence was led by prosecution in support of the charges , before the magistrate , where the accused , Mahatma Gandhi stated : मोहनदास करमचंद गांधी , उम्र53 वर्ष , जातिहिंदू बनिया , पेशाबुनकर और किसान , पतासाबरमति आश्रम , और शंकरलाल घेलाभाई बैंकर , उम्र32वर्ष , जातिहिंदू बनिया , पेशाभूस्वामी , पता , चौZपाटी , बंबई , को मुकदमा चलाने के लिए भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 124-ए के अंतर्गत सुबह 11 बजे अदालत में लाया गया .
