Five of the most talented traditional craftspeople among the region's growing number are Ron Geering, a potter and blacksmith who lives in Falmouth, Mass . and makes decorative English and American slipware, or redware; Gerry Dunphy and Terry Wakeman, woodworkers, who own Classics in Wood in Ashford, Conn ., makers of Windsor chairs and other furniture; and Pam and Harley Savage, a painter and woodworker, respectively, owners of Frye's Measure Mill in Wilton, N . H ., where measures, piggins, and other woodenware have been made since 1876.
