In the city of Ayodhya there was a King named Dasharatha who had three wives named Kowsalya, Kaikeyi and Sumitra. अयोध्या नगरी में दशरथ नाम के राजा हुये जिनकी कौशल्या कैकेयी और सुमित्रा नामक पत्नियाँ थीं।

Apart from the famous Gol Gumbaz , Bijapur , or the “ City of Victory ” , has 50 mosques and 20 historic tombs . बीजापुर यानी ' ' विजय नगरी ' ' में प्रसिद्ध गोलगुंबज के अलवा 50 मस्जिदें और 20 ऐतिहासिक मकबरे हैं .

From there the Pandavas went to the Ekchakra township and disguising themselves as ascetics started staying in the house of a brahmin. पाण्डव वहाँ से एकचक्रा नगरी गये और मुनि का वेष बनाकर एक ब्राह्मण के घर में निवास करने लगे।

After this hindu's most great place,kashi(varanasi) ganga takes a curve so it is known as इसके बाद हिन्दू धर्म की प्रमुख मोक्षदायिनी नगरी काशी (वाराणसी) में गंगा एक वक्र लेती है, जिससे यह यहाँ उत्तरवाहिनी कहलाती है।

After mastering archery and getting the invitation of raja janak vishwamitra along with ram and laxman came to his town mithila. धनुषयज्ञ हेतु राजा जनक के निमन्त्रण मिलने पर विश्वामित्र राम और लक्ष्मण के साथ उनकी नगरी मिथिला (जनकपुर) आ गये।

As per certain opinions this was Lalkot's ancient fort and city which was captured by Sahajahan and converted in to fort. पर कुछ मतों के अनुसार इसे लालकोट का एक पुरातन किला एवं नगरी बताते हैं जिसे शाहजहाँ ने कब्जा़ करके यह किला बनवाया था।

Vijnaneshwara exclaims in his Mtthakshara commentary that there never was and there never will be a city comparable to Kalyana . मिताक्षरा टीका में विज्ञानेश्वर के उदगार हैं कि कल्याण जैसी नगरी न कभी भूतकाल में रही है और न ही भविष्य में हो पायगी .

Upon getting invitation for the Arrow-competition from King Janaka, Viswamitra reached his city Mithila (Janakpur) along with Ram and Lakshman. धनुषयज्ञ हेतु राजा जनक के निमन्त्रण मिलने पर विश्वामित्र राम और लक्ष्मण के साथ उनकी नगरी मिथिला (जनकपुर) आ गये।
