The Legislative Council of the Governor-General was further enlarged to consist of “ not less than ten nor more than sixteen ” -LRB- instead of the erstwhile minimum of six and maximum of twelve -RRB- additional members . गवर्नर-जनरल की विधान परिषद् का अग्रेतर विस्तार करने के लिए यह व्यवस्था की गई कि उसमें ? कम से कम दस और ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा सोलह ? अतिरिक़्त सदस्य होंगे.पहले यह व्यवस्था थी कि उसमें कम से कम छ : और अधिक से अधिक बारह सदस्य होंगे .

Ambitious plans for an early constitution have now been shunted aside; instead, reports the Associated Press, Bremer will “name an interim Iraqi leader with authority to govern the country until a constitution can be written and elections held.” शीघ्र संविधान की महत्वकांक्षी योजना को परे रखकर एसोसिएटेड प्रेस के अनुसार उसके स्थान पर “ ब्रेमर परिषद् के साथ शासन करने के लिए एक अंतरिम इराकी शासक को नामित करेंगे और वह तब तक शासन करेगा जब तक चुनाव नहीं होते और संविधान निर्मित नहीं होगा ।”

Though the term ' election ' was scrupulously avoided , the fact that the non-official members of the Provincial Councils recommended and returned their nominees to the Central Council , indicated implicit acceptance of the principle of indirect election . यद्यपि ? चुनाव ? शब्द का जानबूझकर प्रयोग नहीं किया गया परंतु इस तक़्य से प्रांतीय परिषद् के गैर-सरकारी सदस्यों ने सिफारिश की और केंद्रीय परिषद् में अपने मनोनीत सदस्य को भेजा , चुनाव के सिद्धांत को अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से स्वीकारने का संकेत मिलता है .
