His Royal Highness Prince Turki al-Faisal is a leading Saudi powerbroker. Saudi Prince Turki al-Faisal threatens the U.S. government. Born in 1945 in Mecca to the future King Faisal, his official biography informs us Turki studied at the Ta'if Model Elementary and Intermediate School, the Lawrenceville School, and Georgetown University. His career began in 1973 as an advisor in the Royal Court. He served as director general of the kingdom's main foreign intelligence service for nearly a quarter-century, from 1977 to 2001, leaving that office just before 9/11. Between 2002 and 2007, he represented his government as ambassador to London and Washington. In retirement, he is chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in Riyadh and co-chair of the C100 Group, an affiliate of the World Economic Forum. शाही राजकुमार तुर्की अल फैसल एक अग्रणी सऊदी सत्ता के दलाल हैं। 1945 में मक्का में भविष्य के राजा फैसल के यहाँ जन्मे तुर्की अल फैसल की आधिकारिक जीवनी के अनुसार उन्होंने अपनी प्राथमिक शिक्षा तैफ माडल प्राथमिक विद्यालय में प्राप्त की और इण्टरमीडियट भी यहीं से किया बाद में लारेंसिवेल स्कूल और जार्जटाउन विश्वविद्यालय से भी शिक्षा प्राप्त की। उनके कैरियर का आरम्भ 1973 में शाही न्यायालय में सलाहकार के रूप में हुआ। उन्होंने राज्य की प्रमुख विदेशी खुफिया सेवा में प्रायः एक चौथाई शतक तक 1977 से 2001 तक कार्य किया और 11 सितम्बर 2001 से ठीक पूर्व यह कार्यालय छोडा। वर्ष 2002 से 2007 के मध्य उन्होंने लन्दन और वाशिंगटन में अपने देश के राजदूत के रूप में देश का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। अपनी सेवामुक्ति मे उपरांत वे किंग फैसल सेंटर फार रिसर्च एण्ड इस्लामिक स्टडीज के अध्यक्ष हैं और विश्व आर्थिक फोरम से सम्बद्ध सी 100 गुट के सह अध्यक्ष हैं।

Mr. Pipes is director of the Middle East Forum and Taube distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University. Jan. 6, 2011 update : At the request of Freiheit party organizers, I omitted the name of the hotel where the founding meeting took place. But Jochen-Martin Gutsch reveals this information in a Spiegel magazine article: The 52 men and women meeting in a conference room at the Hotel Maritim in Berlin's Tiergarten district were determined to remain undisturbed. No one else was privy to the location and time of the meeting, in a deliberate attempt to prevent protestors and journalists from showing up at the scene. The only outsider present was Daniel Pipes, an American author, critic of Islam and advisor to former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, who happened to be in the city. The Hotel Maritim is on Stauffenbergstrasse, near the Memorial to the German Resistance. It is an historic point of reference that the 52 attendees would likely have drawn encouragement from.
