Firegod Agni was pleased receiving worshipful sacrifices and manifesting himself before King Dashrath, he gave him 'havishyapatra'(Kheer, sweet drink) which he distributed amongst his three wives. भक्तिपूर्ण आहुतियाँ पाकर अग्निदेव प्रसन्न हुये और उन्होंने स्वयं प्रकट होकर राजा दशरथ को हविष्यपात्र (खीर पायस) दिया जिसे कि उन्होंने अपनी तीनों पत्नियों में बाँट दिया।
