It was in fact a firm move to crush Marxist influence and organised labour movement in India . Almost all major industries and large operations were owned by Britishers at that time . वस्तुतः भारत में संगठित मजदूर आंदोलनों और मार्क़्सवादी प्रभाव को कुचलने का यह एक सुनिश्चित प्रयास था , क़्योंकि उस समय सभी बड़े उद्योगों और व्यापारों पर अंग्रेजों का आधिपत्य था .

After the hanging the britishers were afraid of the people might protest and therefore they cut the bodies of the people hanged into pieces and there by buried them in sacks and took to firozpur and burnt them in kerosene instead of Ghee. फांसी के बाद कोई आन्दोलन ना भड़क जाए इसके डर से अंग्रेजों ने पहले इनके मृत शरीर के टुकड़े किए तथा फिर इसे बोरियों में भर कर फ़िरोजपुर की ओर ले गए जहां घी के बदले किरासन तेल में ही इनको जलाया जाने लगा ।

Treaty of Amritsar Kashmir , a strategic but sensitive princely State of India , was being ruled by the house of the Dogras under the Treaty of Amritsar signed in 1846 , whereby the Britishers had sold Kashmir to Maharaja Gulab Singh for a paltry sum of Rs 50 lakhs . अमृतसर संधि भारत की महतऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-वपूर्ण , किंतु अति संवेदनशील शाही रियासत कशऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-मीर पर 1846 की अमृतसर संधि के कारण डोगरा वंश का शासन सऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-थापित हुआ था , जब अंग्रेजों ने 50 लाख की मामूली रकम के लिए कशऋ-ऊण्श्छ्ष्-मीर महाराजा गुलाब सिंह को बेच दिया था .
