Strangely enough , it was during this period of intense religious and moral idealism that Rabindranath wrote the two novels , Nashta Nld -LRB- The Broken Nest -RRB- and ChokherBali -LRB- The Eyesore -RRB- , which laid the foundation of the realistic and psychological novel in Indian literature . यह भी आश्चर्यजनक तथ्य है कि गहन-धार्मिक और नैतिक आदर्शवाद की इसी अवधि में रवीन्द्रनाथ ने दो दो उपन्यास लिखे- ? नष्ट नीड़ ? The historic, groundbreaking meeting of the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Israel took place on September 1, 2005, in Istanbul. It was positive and was followed by my address to the American Jewish Congress in New York on September 17, 2005. The atmosphere was electric, and the reception given to me was very warm and welcoming. All the prominent figures in the American Jewish community were on hand. I met every one of them before the formal ceremony. This was a very big first: a Pakistani leader mixing with and then addressing the American Jewish community. The ceremony started with the Jewish ritual of breaking bread. Jack Rosen praised me in his opening speech. Congressman Tom Lantos read out and then presented me with a framed copy of the congressional Record of the House of Representatives titled “Tribute to President Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan.” My own speech was emotional, and I think it had the desired impact. New ground was broken. The domestic reaction was all positive, and the international response euphoric. इस भाषण के महत्व का असली मूल्यांकन तो मुस्लिम दृष्टिकोण से ही हो सकता है . उनका दृष्टिकोण उत्साहवर्धक नहीं है . मुशर्रफ ने सामूहिक नरसंहार को यहूदियों की सबसे कारुणिक घटना बताया लेकिन इस नरसंहार को नज़रअंदाज करने वाले महमूद अब्बास जैसे फिलीस्तीनी इसे ही महत्वपूर्ण वक्तव्य मानते हैं. मुशर्रफ के भाषण में आए यहूदी संबंधी विचारों से मुसलमान तभी प्रभावित हो सकते हैं जबकि यह बड़े प्रयास का हिस्सा हो . प्रश्नोत्तर काल में मैंने मुशर्रफ से पूछा कि क्या वे ऐसे प्रयास करेंगे जिससे यहूदी संबंधी उनका विचार फैले तो उन्होंने यह स्वीकार करते हुए भी कि उनके पास ऐसी कोई योज़ना नहीं है टीवी कैमरे और जनता के बीच संक्षेप रुप में ऐसा वचन दे दिया .
