Adopting techniques used by the U.S. Customs Service and by Israeli airport security, SPOT is “the antidote to racial profiling,” TSA spokeswoman Ann Davis , said. It discerns, she said, “extremely high levels of stress, fear and deception” through “ behavioral pattern recognition .” SPOT agents observe passengers moving about the airport, with TSA agents looking for such physical symptoms as sweating, rigid posture, and clenched fists. A screener then engages “ selectees ” in conversation and asks unexpected questions , looking at body language for signs of unnatural responses. The two are divided by the enhanced power and freedoms women have gained through legal equality, monogamy, romantic love, open sexuality, and a myriad other customs. In addition, many Europeans no longer cherish their history, mores, and customs. Guilt about fascism, racism, and imperialism leave many with a sense that their own culture has less value than that of immigrants. Such self-disdain has direct implications for Muslim immigrants, for if Europeans shun their own ways, why should immigrants adopt them? When added to the already-existing Muslim hesitations over much that is Western, and especially what concerns sexuality, the result are Muslim populations that strongly resist assimilation. It changed the rules in the “ Tax Credits (Polygamous Marriages) Regulations 2003 ”: previously, only one wife could inherit assets tax-free from a deceased husband; this legislation permits multiple wives to inherit tax-free, so long as the marriage had been contracted where polygamy is legal, as in Nigeria, Pakistan, or India. In a related matter, the Department for Work and Pensions began issuing extra payments to harems for such benefits as jobseeker allowances, housing subventions, and council tax relief. Last week came news that, after a year-long review , four government departments (Work and Pensions, Treasury, Revenue and Customs, Home Office) concluded that formal recognition of polygamy is “the best possible” option for Her Majesty's Government. दूसरा अनेक वर्षों के विकास के परिणाम स्वरूप व्रिटिश सरकार ने बहु विवाह को मान्यता प्रदान कर दी है। इसने टैक्स क्रेडिट ( बहु विवाह ) विनियमन 2003 के नियमों में परिवर्तन किया है इससे पूर्व केवल एक पत्नी अपने मृत पति के उत्तराधिकार के रूप में टैक्स मुक्त सम्पत्ति धारण कर सकती थी। अब इस विधेयक के बाद यदि विवाह नाइजीरिया , पाकिस्तान और भारत में हुआ है ( जहाँ बहु विवाह कानूनी रूप से मान्य है) तो अनेक पत्नियों को टैक्स फ्री सम्पात्ति का उतराधिकार प्राप्त होगा । इसी से जुड़े एक मामले में कार्य और पेन्शन विभाग ने हरम को अनेक लाभ के लिए अतिरिक्त भुगतान दिया । पिछले सप्ताह यह समाचार आया कि एक वर्ष के पर्यवेक्षण के उपरान्त सरकार के चार विभागों ( कार्य और पेन्शन , कोषागार , राजस्व और सीमा , गृह विभाग ) ने निष्कर्ष निकाला कि बहु विवाह को औपचारिक रूप से स्वीकार कर लेना ही सरकार के लिए सबसे अच्छा विकल्प है।
