The bill would require the deed of conveyance to the parcel of land located southeast of U . S . route 61 / 84, and which is commonly known as the bean field property, to reserve an easement to the United States that restricts the use of such parcel only to uses which are compatible with the Parkway.

The properties purchased by the Southern Pacific Terminal, as per deed of conveyance dated July 10, 1901, from the Executrix and Executors of the Will and Estate of Collis P . On the latter date the receivers of the Seaboard Air Line Railway were appointed receivers of the Atlantic, Suwannee River and Gulf Railway Company, and the property was thereafter operated by the receivers until November 4, 1909, the date possession of the property was surrendered to the Seaboard Air Line Railway under deed of conveyance dated September 30, 1909 . The results of operation of the property of the Atlantic, Suwannee River and Gulf Railway Company during the period July 1, 1900, to November 4, 1909, are included in the accounts of the Seaboard Air Line Railway.

Atlantic Short Line Railway . This company was granted a charter on November 30, 1892, under the general railroad law of the State of Georgia for the incorporation of railroads, for the purpose of constructing, equipping, maintaining, and operating a line of railroad from Macon to Savannah, Ga . By deed of conveyance dated November 30, 1892, the Atlantic Short Line Railway acquired from J . R . Young and others, the property, rights, franchises, etc ., of the Macon and Atlantic Railway Company, consisting of a completed line of railroad from Bruton, Ga ., east about 12 miles, and an additional graded line of about 75 miles.

The part formerly owned by the Nashville, Chicago and St . Louis Railroad Company was sold to Jacob H . Schiff, John B . Dumont, and George Opdyke, through a deed of conveyance dated July 29, 1879, who reconveyed their interests to the Louisville and Nashville on December 6, 1879 . The part formerly owned by the Evansville, Henderson and Nashville Railroad Company and the St . Louis and Southeastern Railway Company ( Kentucky Division ) was sold to the Louisville and Nashville and conveyed to it by a deed dated December 1, 1879 . The part formerly owned by the St . Louis and Southeastern Railway Company, together with 6.04 miles of road from Belleville to O'Fallon, which was constructed by the company, was sold to William A . Whitehouse and Charles W . Opdyke and conveyed to them by a deed dated January 25, 1881.
