The authors claim that 40% of Danish welfare expenses are consumed by Muslim immigrants. Denmark has a much broader spectrum of welfare costs than countries in North America. We include not only unemployment benefits and social security but also substantial allocations to housing, transport, homecare, early retirement, protected workplaces, daycare and other smaller schemes. Muslim immigrants do not receive 40% of those allocations even though they represent a substantial part of the clients. The latest police figures show that 76.5% of convicted rapists in Copenhagen belong to that 5% of the population, and from that we drew our understated conclusion. Florida pastor Terry Jones caused panic for American commanders in Afghanistan by threatening to burn a Koran. Nakoula Basseley Nakoula and friends prompted a crisis in U.S. relations with Egypt with an amateurish video, Innocence of Muslims . By publishing vulgar pictures of Muhammad, French weekly Charlie Hebdo is causing the French government temporarily to shut down diplomatic missions in twenty countries. Plans by the German satirical magazine Titanic to publish attacks on Muhammad have likewise caused German missions to be closed. पश्चिमी ओर से एक समाचार पत्र सम्पादक फ्लेमिंग रोज ने द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के पश्चात डेनमार्क के लिये सबसे बडा संकट खडा करते हुए मुहम्मद के बारह कार्टून प्रकाशित किये। फ्लोरिडा के पादरी टेरी जोंस ने अफगानिस्तान में अमेरिकी कमांडरों में भय उत्पन्न करते हुए कुरान को जलाने की धमकी दे डाली। नकोला बासेले नकोला और उनके मित्रों ने Innocence of Muslims के वीडियो द्वारा मिस्र के साथ अमेरिका के कूटनीतिक सम्बन्धों के लिये संकट खडा कर दिया। फ्रांसीसी साप्ताहिक पत्रिका Charlie Hebdo ने मुहम्मद के भोंडे चित्र प्रकाशित कर फ्रांस की सरकार को विवश कर दिया कि वह बीस देशों में अपने दूतावास अस्थाई रूप से बन्द कर दे। इसी प्रकार जर्मनी की व्यंग्य पत्रिका Titanic ने भी मुहम्मद पर इसी प्रकार आक्रमण की योजना बनाकर जर्मनी के दूतावासों को भी बंद करने को विवश कर दिया।

Less common but more intimidating is the violence that targets those who defy the Rushdie Rules. Let us limit examples of this phenomenon to one country, Denmark. In October 2004, an instructor at the Carsten Niebuhr Institute at the University of Copenhagen was kicked and hit by several strangers as he left the university. They informed him that he had read from the Koran, which as an infidel ( kafir ) he had no right to do. In October 2005, Jyllands-Posten editor Flemming Rose was threatened for having commissioned cartoons depicting Muhammad. Two of the cartoonists had to go into hiding. One of them, Kurt Westergaard , subsequently narrowly escaped physical attack inside his home.
