Element 105 showed a behavior unlike tantanum at concentrations of HCl below 12 HBr into diisobutyl carbinol ( 2, 6-dimethylheptan-4-ol ), a specific extractant for protactinium, with subsequent elutions with mixed HCl / HF and HCl, the obtained extraction sequence Pa > Nb > Db was determined.
