The city of Ipoh fell to the Japanese on 27 December 1940 and on 11 January 1941 the Japanese ran through the capital of Malaya , Kuala Lumpur , and 4000 Indians were taken as POWs , which included Captain Mohan Singh and Captain Akram . 27 दिसम्बर 1940 को जापान ने इपोह पर कब्जा किया और 11 फरवरी 1941 को जापान ने मलाया की राजधानी कुआलालम्पुर पर कब्जा कर लिया तथा 4000 भारतीय युद्धबन्दी बनाए गए ऋसमें कैप्टन मोहनसिंंह व कैप्टन अऋम भी सम्मिलित थे .
