Has anyone ever seriously raised the possibility of transporting seawater to low-lying natural depressions in the Sahara ( e . g ., in northeast Mauritania and northern Mali, and also close to the Algeria / Tunisia border ) as a way of both reducing possible rises in coastlines due to global warming and also encouraging an improvement of the biopotential of North Africa?
