In a full column obituary notice in its issue of August 3 , 1846 , The Times -LRB- London -RRB- said : “ Perhaps there is no individual in India , be his rank or position what it may , who has more largely patronized the advancement and fortunes of the many around him , and we believe there are not a few now in India and England who owe entirely to Dwarkanath Tagore the blessing of their present success and independence . ” “ द टाइम्स ” के 3 अगस्त , 1846 के अंक में मृर्त्युसंवाद स्तंभ के अंतर्गत लिखा गया र्था “ संभवतया भारत में उनकी टक्कर का कोऋ नहीं है , भले ही वह किसी पद या प्रतिष्ठा पर हो ऋसने अपने आर्सपास खडऋए लोगों की प्रगति और बेहतरी को इतनी उदारता से संरक्षण प्रदान किया हो.और हम यह भी विश्वास कर सकते हैं कि भारत में और इंग्लैंड में भी ऐसे लोगों की कमी नहीं जो अपनी वर्तमान सफलता और स्वतंत्रता के लिए द्वारकानाथ ठाकुर के अनुग्रह के प्रति ऋत& न हों . ”
