With K emal Atatürk's military victories of 1919-22 and the reassertion of Turkish power, however, Sèvres was never applied. Instead, the Treaty of Lausanne, signed in 1923, established all of Turkey's present borders but for the one with British-occupied Iraq. For Iraq, Lausanne stipulated a provisional boundary (the “Brussels line”) to be replaced within nine months by a “friendly arrangement to be concluded between Turkey and Great Britain.” Failing an agreement, the League of Nations would decide the border. 1919-22 में कमाल अतातुर्क की सैनिक सफलता और तुर्की द्वारा सत्ता प्राप्ति के कारण यद्यपि सेवरेज की सन्धि कभी लागू नहीं हो सकी। इसके बजाय लावजेन की सन्धि जिस पर 1923 मे हस्ताक्षर हुये उसने तुर्की की वर्तमान सभी सीमाओं को स्थापित किया परन्तु एक ब्रिटिश कब्जे वाले इराक को छोड़कर। इराक के लिये लावनेज ने एक अन्तरिम सीमा निर्धारित कर दी ( ब्रुसेल्स रेखा) जिसे नौ महीने के भीतर तुर्की और ग्रेट ब्रिटेन के मध्य मित्रवत व्यवस्था से स्थानान्तरित करना था। ऐसे किसी समझौते में असफल रहने पर सीमा के सम्बन्ध में लीग आफ नेशन्स निश्चित करता।

Captain Shah Nawaz Khan of 1/14 Punjab Regiment , Captain Prem Kumar Sehgal of 2/10 Baluch Regiment and Lieutenant Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon of 1/14 Punjab Regiment-who had all joined the Indian National Army organised by the Provisional Government of Free India under the leadership of Sri Subhas Chandra Bose , at Singapore -LRB- Shonan -RRB- during 1943-45 , were arrested as prisoners of war after the Allied forces recaptured Malaya and Burma and were subsequently put on trial before a court martial in the Red Fort of Delhi . 1/14 पंजाब रंजिमेंट के कैप्टन शाह नवाज खान , लेZZZफ्टिनेंट गुरबक़्श सिंह ढिल्लों और 2/10 बलूच रेजिमेंट के कैप्टन प्रेमकुमार सहगल ऐसे तीन अफसर थे , जो 1943-45 के दौरान सिंगापुर ( शोनन ) में सुभाषचन्द्र बोस के नेतृत्व में प्रोविजनल गवर्नमेंट आफ Lंडिया ( आजाद हिंद की अंतरिम सरकार ) द्वारा बनाई गयी आजाद हिंद फौज में भरती हुए थे.मित्र देखों की सेना द्वारा मलाया और बर्मा पर दोबारा आधिपत्य स्थापित कर लेने के बाद इन अफसरों को युद्धबंदियों के रूप में गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया और दिल्ली के लालकिले में लगाई गयी फौजी अदालत में उन पर मुकदमा चलाया गया .
