The " Cedid Atlas " includes a monochrome celestial chart and 24 hand-coloured copper engraved maps of various parts of the world; the celestial chart and maps measure at least ( 53 cm by 72 cm ) and all the maps are actually adaptations of William Faden's " General Atlas ".

The town of Slunj was first mentioned in a written document by the chronicler Johann Weikhard von Valvasor who reported about the fortified town of Slunj, a bridge and a mill in 1689 . The first illustration of the mills of Rastoke dates back from 1789 . It was a copper engraving that has been added to a description by Belsazar Hacquet.
