The message he sought to convey is greater than anything else. … the circumstances confirm that Angelo was a victim of the war, of the injustice in the world. When we are talking about a situation of tension, absence of common sense dominates. I do not feel hatred because Angelo's thought, the principles that always motivated him, were definitely not of hatred or revenge. इसके बाद क्षतिपूर्ति के प्रयास आरम्भ हो गये. फिलीस्तीनी समाचार एजेन्सी WAFA ने बुर्ज अल लुकलुक सामुदायिक केन्द्र की ओर से घटना की निन्दा करते हुये वक्तव्य प्रकाशित किया, “ जो कुछ हुआ उस पर अपनी भावनायें व्यक्त करने के लिये हमारे पास शब्द नहीं हैं. हमारे विचार और संवेदनायें एन्जेलो के परिवार और उनके मित्रों के साथ हैं”. इसके बाद अनेक फिलीस्तीनी स्वयंसेवी संगठनों ने फ्रैमर्टीनो की याद में प्रार्थनायें आयोजित कीं. हनायशा की माँ ने इटली के समाचार पत्र ला रिपब्लिका के माध्यम से एक अपील जारी करते हुये अपने पुत्र को क्षमा करने की माँग की. इस भावुक अपील के बदले फ्रैमर्टीनो के माता-पिता ने हनायशा को क्षमा कर दिया. फ्रैमर्टीनो के पिता मिचेलान्जेलो ने मोन्टेरोटोण्डो से कहा, “ अविस्मणीय दुख के बाद भी वह हत्यारे की माँ की क्षमा की अपील का स्वागत और सराहना करते हैं और उन्हें आशा है कि अभिभावकों के इस व्यवहार से इस दुखद कथा का अन्त हो जायेगा” . यही नहीं पिता ने और आगे बढ़कर Corriere della Sera समाचार पत्र से कहा कि, “ उनके पुत्र के हत्यारे से उन्हें कोई घृणा नहीं है. एन्जेलो शान्ति को बढ़ाने में लगा था . जो सन्देश वह देना चाहता था वह अन्य किसी भी सन्देश से बड़ा था. परिस्थितियों के आधार पर स्पष्ट होता है कि एन्जेलो युद्ध का और विश्व के अन्याय का शिकार हो गया.जब हम तनाव की स्थिति की बात करते हैं तो सामान्य बुद्धि का अभाव रहता है. मुझे बिल्कुल घृणा नहीं है, क्योंकि जिन सिद्धान्तों या विचारों ने सदैव एन्जेलो को प्रेरित किया वे निश्चय ही घृणा या बदले के नहीं थे.”
