He is son of Late Shri Raj Mangal Pandey a prominent minister in Uttar Pradesh government who later became Union HRD Minister ( 21.11.1990-21.06.1991 ) Ministry of Human Resource Development ( India ) . His mother was also a Member of Legislative Council for two terms consecutively.
