Similarly , if he is chosen also as a member of a State Legislature , he ceases to remain a member of Parliament , unless he resigns his seat in the State Legislature within a period of 14 days from the publication of declaration in the State Gazette . 18 इसी प्रकार , यदि वह किसी राज़्य विधानमंडल के सदस्य के रूप मेंभी चुन लिया जाता है तो , यदि वह राज़्य विधानमंडल में अपने स्थान से , राज़्य के राजत्पत्र में घोषणा के प्रकाशन से 14 दिनों के भीतर , त्यागपत्र नहीं दे देता तो , संसद का सदस्य नपहीं रहता .

The Constitution provides , therefore , that no action can be taken against a member of Parliament in any court or before any authority other than Parliament in respect of anything said or a vote given by him in Houses of Parliament or any Committee thereof . अत : संविधान का उपबंध है कि संसद में या उसकी किसी समिति में संसद के किसी सदस्य द्वारा कही गई किसी बात या दिए गए किसी मत के संबंध में किसी संसद सदस्य के विरुद्ध किसी न्यायालय में या संसद के अलावा किसी प्राधिकारी के समक्ष कोई कार्रवाई नहीं की जाएगी .

The extent and amplitude of the words “ conduct of a member ” have not beeni defined exhaustively , and it is within the powers of thej House in each case to determine whether a member has acted in an unbecoming manner or has acted in a manner unworthy of a member of Parliament . “ एक सदस्य का आचरण ” शब्दों के व्यापक अर्थों की पूरी व्याख्या नहीं की गई है और प्रत्येक मामले में यह निर्धारण करना सदन के अधिकार क्षेत्र में है कि क्या किसी सदस्य का व्यवहार अनुचित रहा है या ऐसा व्यवहार रहा है जो संसद के सदस्य के लायक नहीं .
