Additionally, the anterior cervical vertebra attributed to NHMUK R6795 is extremely elongated relative to that of the middle dorsal vertebrae with a low centrum to neural arch ratio and a significant displacement between the two sides of the articular facet of the centrum.
42.
Chure also found OMNH 4666 undiagnostic in relation to " Allosaurus ", so he chose OMNH 01123, a neural arch, as the holotype for " Saurophaganax " . and " Saurophaganax " is not a renaming of " Saurophagus ".
43.
The absence of sutures between the neural arches and centra of cervical, dorsal, and caudal vertebrae suggests that the specimen was nearing sexual maturity, but the open sutures between the scapula and coracoid, and the ilium and some sacral ribs suggest that it had not reached full maturity.

B . " Chelodina longicollis " at pleural IV showing a narrow midline neural bone, lateral pleurals ( P ) and underlying vertebral neural arch . and C . " Emydura subglobosa " at pleural IV showing location of a rudimentary neural bone underneath medially contiguous pleurals.
45.
It consists of a partial articulated skeleton, lacking the skull, of a juvenile individual, including thirty-three vertebrae of the back, hip and tail, twenty-one fragments of the neural arches, six chevrons, rib fragments, ossified tendons, the left pelvis and both hindlimbs.
46.
Shared traits of the euteleosts include; similarities in the embryonic development of the bony or cartilaginous structures located between the head and dorsal fin ( supraneural bones ), an outgrowth on the stegural bone ( a bone located near the neural arches of the tail ) and caudal median cartilages located between hypurals of the caudal base.
47.
Initially it was difference in age ( juvenile vs . adult ) was suspected but because the bone in the " T . borealis " specimen is thoroughly ossified and the caudal vertebral neural arches being fused to the centra, it can be concluded that the specimen was not a juvenile, but a fully formed adult.
48.
Other specimens were referred : MgD-Ij116, a skul and lower jaws of a juvenile; MgD-Ij 118, fragmentary poctcrania and lower jaws of a juvenile; MgD-Ij119, a dentary and three neural arches; MgD-IjI20, two dentaries and loose teeth; MgD-JjI21, a maxilla fragment with four teeth of a juvenile; and MgD-JjI22, teeth.
49.
The holotype, "'MNHN . F . LES 16 "', consists of a right thighbone ( MNHN . F . LES16c ), a portion of the right ilium, with a piece of a vertebral neural arch ( MNHN . F . LES16a ); a left pubic bone ( MNHN . F . LES16b ); and a second right metatarsal ( MNHN . F . LES16d ) associated with the skeleton.
50.
The third named " Amphicoelias " species, " A . fragillimus ", was known only from a single, incomplete 1.5 m tall neural arch ( the part of a vertebra with spines and processes ), either last or second to last in the series of back vertebrae, D ( dorsal ) 10 or D9 . Based only on an illustration published in 1878, this vertebra would have measured tall in life.
