A giant mobile primary crusher was designed and built the world's largest of its kind conveyors were installed to carry rock from the primary crusher to a new wash plant and secondary crushers.

The processing plant was built by GR Engineering Services from Perth and consists of a primary / secondary crusher building near the mine and stockpile, feeding the main processing plant via conveyor, and a tertiary crusher building.

Major equipment like boiler, turbine, auxiliaries like BFP, CEP, PA fans, bowl mills etc . were supplied by BHEL . In coal handling plant, major equipment like primary and secondary crusher were supplied by TRF and wagon tippler was supplied by Heavy Engineering Corporation ( HEC ).
