The Civil Procedure Code defines the jurisdiction of the civil courts in regard to various kinds of suits for example , suits by or against the Government or public officers acting in their official capacity , suits by aliens and by or against foreign rulers , ambassadors and envoys , suits relating to different matters like public nuisance and other wrongful acts affecting the public , suits relating to public charity , etc . , are specially dealt with . इस संहिता में विभिन्न प्रकार के वादों के संबंध में सिविल न्यायालयों की अधिकारिता को परिनिश्चित किया गया है- उदाहरण के लिए , सरकार या अधिकाधिक हैसियत में कार्यरत लोक अधिकारियों द्वारा अथवा उनके विरुद्ध वाद , अन्यदेशीय लोगों अथवा विदेशी शासकों , राजदूतों और दूतों द्वारा या उनके विरुद्ध वादों , लोक न्यूसेंस तथा जनता को प्रभावित करने वाले सदोष कृत्य जैसे विभिन्न मामलों से संबंधित वाद , और लोक पूर्त कर्म आदि से संबंधित वाद आदि पर विशेष प्रकार से कार्रवाई की जाती है .
