At the time of calving , nature should be allowed to have its own course . बच्चा स्वाभाविक रूप से ही होते रहने देना चाहिए .

A warm bran mash just before and after calving should be given to the animal . प्रसव के ठीक पहले और तुरन्त बाद चोकर का गर्म दलिया जानवर को दिया जाना चाहिए .

In a pregnant cow or buffalo , milking should be discontinued about six to eight weeks before calving . गाभिन गाय अथवा भैंस को प्रसव से छ : से आठ सप्ताह पूर्व दुहना बन्द कर देना चाहिए .

With proper feeding and care , a cow will come into heat within 100 days of calving . उचित खुराक मिलने पर तथा सावधानी बरतने पर प्रसव के सौ दिन बाद गाय पुन : गर्मी में आ जाती है .

After calving , the calf should be wiped clean and directed to the dam 's teats . पैदा होने के बाद बच्चे को पोंछकर साफ कर देना चाहिए और उसे ऊंटनी के थनों की ओर बढ़ा देना चाहिए .

The animal is affected just before or after parturition within 72 hours of calving . जानवर प्रसव के तत्काल बाद अथवा ठीक पहले बच्चा देने के बाद 72 घंटे की अवधि में इस रोग से पीZड़ित हो जाता है .
