Experimental methods only provide a HCDP at the pressure at which the measurement is taken, and cannot provide the cricondentherm or the HCDP at other pressures.

The significant advantage of using the theoretical models is that the HCDP at several pressures ( as well as the cricondentherm ) can be determined from a single analysis.
