From early years he , born in Marudur , resident successively in Madras , Karunguzhi , Vadalur and Mettuk-kuppam , took Chidambaram as his eponym , calling himself ' Chidambaram Ramalingam ' . प्रारंभिक वर्षों से ही वे मरूदूर ( जन्मभूमि ) , मद्रसा , करूंगुझी , वडलूर और मेट्टुकुप्पम में रहे , फिर भी उन्होंने चिदम्बरम को अपना आधार नाम बनाया और वे चिदम्बरम रामलिंगम कहलाये .
