Aziz S . Atiya of the University of Utah found ten fragments of the remaining papyri in the Metropolitan Museum's collection in May 1966, after he recognized the vignette was similar to Facsmile 1 in the Pearl of Great Price.

Of his writings on Linnaeus, the most well known is his extensive ( 176 pages ) introduction to the Ray Society's facsmile edition of Linnaeus "'Species plantarum " in volume 1 ( 1957 ), together with an appendix in volume 2 ( 1959 ).
