The mental frustration resultant from the suicidal separatist policy of the 1937-47 decade combined with the economic distress caused by the abolition of zamindari and the curtailment of their share in the state services , has filled the majority of the Muslim middle-class with resentment , making them hypersensitive to any interference with the cultural rights guaranteed them by the Constitution . सन् 1937-47 के दशक की आत्मघाती पृथकतावादी नीति के Zपरिणाम में मानसिक क्षोभ और जमींदारी के उन्मूलन से उत्पन्न आर्थिक संकट तथा राज़्य की सेवाओं में उनके हिस्से में कटौती के कारण , अधिकांश मुसलमान मध्यकम श्रेणी जनता मे विद्रोह की भावना पैदा हो गयी जिससे संविधान द्वारा सुरक्षित सांस्कृतिक अधिकारों में किसी भी प्रकार के हस्तक्षेप के प्रति वे अति संवेदनशील हो
