He is looked upon to protect the honour of persons against allegatory , defamatory or incriminatory statements in the House , and unless he has been previously informed of the nature of such statements or the evidence on which they are based , he may stop a member from making such statements . सदन में आरोपात्मक , मानहानिकारक या दोषारोपण करने वाले वक़्तव्यों से व्यक़्तियों के सम्मान की रक्षा भी अध्यक्ष करता है और वह किसी सदस्य को ऐसा वक़्तव्य देने से रोक सकता है , यदि ऐसे वक़्तव्य के स्वरूप के बारे में या जिस साक्ष्य पर वे आधारित हैं उसकी पूर्व सूचना उसे न दे दी गई हो .
