" James Kimble Vardaman consistently referred to President Theodore Roosevelt as a " coon-flavored miscegenationist " and once posted an ad in a newspaper for " sixteen big, fat, mellow, rancid coons " to sleep with Roosevelt during a trip to Mississippi.
