CIN is calculated by measurements recorded electronically by a Rawinsonde ( weather balloon ) which carries devices which measure weather parameters, such as air temperature and pressure.
2.
The BRN is used frequently in meteorology due to widely available rawinsonde ( frequently called radiosonde ) data and numerical weather forecasts that supply wind and temperature measurements at discrete points in space.
